Synthesis of Organic-Inorganic Polymer Hybrids
We have been preparing a large variety of hybrids of organic polymers and inorganic materials with utilization of the sol-gel technique. Recently, we succeeded in the synthesis of organic-inorganic polymer hybrids using silsesquioxanes (especially cage type silsesquioxane) as the inorganic moiety.

Synthesis of Metal Nanoparticles and Their Organization
One of our current interests is the synthesis of metal nanoparticles (Au, Ag, Pd, etc.) and control of their size, shape, and aggregation behavior. They are promising candidates for advanced materials with interesting electronic, magnetic, and optic properties, and for highly activated catalysts.
